Update on Family Trials of Morta Children

Children of Morta, the charming roguelite on a family of monster hunters, has just enjoyed a brand new game mode for zero dollar! Family Trials introduces new talent trees, a new currency, new object improvements and totally random steps. It s a bit like another Roguelite / Roguelike you may have heard over the past year.

It s Hades. This is the Hades update. What s great! Some games make such a crater when they hit the Zeitgeist, it would be odd not to pay tribute. The Family Trials update also introduces two new difficulty settings, difficult and insane. As someone who is regularly presented by roguelites and their fellow men, it seems excessive, but who knows! Maybe the fans of Children of Morta claimed a bigger challenge.

Aside from my coarse comparisons, it s a massive victory for the fans of the original game. Already a remarkable entry into the crowded field of Roguelikes, the Family Trials update adds a huge amount of content to an already substantial game. Each of the six characters receives a brand new talent tree with 40 locations, which translates into a ton of new content to explore. This update is live and available for anyone who owns Children of Morta on PC, PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch. There is even a new trailer below!
