Paradox Interactive: Several unannounced projects have been set

Paradox Interactive had no good year. The mafia strategy game Empire of Sin was sincerely expected by fans, but ultimately disappointed all on all line. Also we had a lot to suspend the title, which you can read in our test to Empire of Sin.

Furthermore, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was postponed indefinitely, which did not like fans of the series. Also, the new enlargement became Europe Universalis 4, Leviathan, as poorly received by players, that the Game Director apologized to the fans for the last publications of poor quality.

Also internally, Paradox currently does not look good. Shortly after the previous CEO Ebba Ljungerud returned from its position, the company stopped an internal survey. Many of the female employees answered these, that they were treated in the company bad or even bullied. In addition, Fredrik Wester apologized, the current CEO of Paradox Interactive, recently for inappropriate behavior in 2018.

The company probably now wants to restructure a little bit, which is why she announced that working on some unannounced projects were discontinued. The company would rather focus on proven playful and projects that focate the return and risk requirements of the company better .

These proven games are of course strategy games for Paradox Interactive, as the CEO Fredrik Wester explained in an official opinion:

Paradox Interactive has become great with strategy and management games. Here are our hearts as well as our thoughts and we are passionately interested in developing games that our players can enjoy over a long period of time. Therefore, we have further sharpened our pipeline to ensure that the highest potential projects receive resources necessary for the best possible development.

Crusader Kings III - 1 Year in CK3

According to Wester, 15 games are now under development at Paradox Interactive. Of these, four have already been officially announced: Victoria 3, Crusader Kings 3 and the Shadow Run Trilogy for consoles, and of course vampires: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. Furthermore, it is currently worked on some DLCs, including Royal Court for Crusader Kings 3 .

Maybe the recently announced Victoria 3 will again be a success story for Paradox Interactive. Until then, players can at least have a lot of fun with the popular Crusader Kings 3, which we also praised in our test for his entertaining gameplay.
