FIFA flies 57 more Afghan athletes

The Football World Association FIFA helped escape another Afghan athlete group. As FIFA notified, 57 people were brought with respect to women s football and basketball with the support of the Government of Qatar to Doha. Already last week with a first evacuation flight almost 100 athletes were out of the war area. I call all our friends at government level as well as in the football community worldwide to exhibit residence permits and visas for these persons so that they can start a new life in a safe environment, said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Facilities of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar are currently used as emergency accommodation for refugees, further evacuation flights should still follow according to the world association.
